Financial Planning & Accounting Specialist
As Financial Planning & Accounting (or FP&A) Specialist, you manage the books of our fast-growing company. You'll work on our financial administration, accounting, reporting and forecasting directly with our CFO and our management- and leadership team. In-house, so you're involved with our whole company, not just its finances.
Running an excellent company requires excellent books. You understand that, and that's what gets you going. We're looking for a person that loves to make sure everything is right, and at the same time understands that rules and processes should enable a company, and not hinder it. You know how to strike the right balance between structure and freedom, accuracy and speed, and between requirements and reality to enable us to bloom in a proper, sustainable way.
We're a fast-growing, world-wide operating scale-up with both software, subscription and hardware products. A dynamic, pluriform environment, both in company culture as well as in operations and finance, with legal entities not just in the Netherlands, but also in the USA.
At Athom, you'll be working in a team of A-players. A unique opportunity to grow alongside a seasoned, international CFO and a founder-led management team, in a tight, 100% motivated team and company, growing Homey together.

As Accounting Assistant you will be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations in our company, as well as reporting and forecasting. This includes working with Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL) and Physical Assets (FA).

All of the above will initially be done in close concert with the CFO, management team and accountant of our company. If you bring your finance skills and a quick-learner mindset open to work in a dynamic and fast international scale-up, we bring you the interesting challenges to become a finance expect in this field.

We keep our quality stellar because everyone has a passion for something in our team, and stands behind their work. This could be elegant code, fluent ux-design, beautiful visuals, tight accounting books, or just a proper, neat office.
Our tools
We work with the best tools. These include Excel, obviously, but also Moneybird, Quickbooks online, and even some own-developed tools for the best processing of our finances. Of course we're also happy to learn from your experiences, and your preferred tools, as we strongly believe in a best-tool-for-the-job approach, and not a one-size-fits-all. Tools and process should enable our company and teams, and not stand in the way.
If you come to work for us, you'll get a company Macbook. And of course Homey Pro for your home.
