Adaptive Thermostat
Turn any temperature sensor and any heater into a thermostat that actually regulates
A radiator valve measures the radiator, not the room, and a simple thermostat only switches
fully on and fully off, so the room swings around the temperature you asked for instead of
settling on it. Adaptive Thermostat puts a real proportional regulator between a sensor that
measures the temperature you care about and a heater that has no idea where it is. Pick the
sensor in the room, pick what heats that room, and it takes care of the rest.
It works with any temperature sensor and any heater already paired with your Homey, whatever
app they came from, and it gets better with every optional device you give it: a window
contact, a motion or presence sensor, an outdoor thermometer (or Homey's weather), a relay that starts your boiler.
It needs Homey Pro, because reading and driving devices that belong to other apps requires a
permission Homey Cloud does not offer.

The preset changes
Fires whoever made the change — a Flow, the picker, or a timed preset falling back on its own. It reports the preset you asked for, so with the Activity preset it does not fire when motion switches the level underneath; use Status for that.

Fires when this thermostat goes from not needing heat to needing it. Useful to drive a boiler yourself instead of using the Boiler device.

Version 1.5.3 — Temperature devices whose app reports in °F are now read correctly. A sensor at 72.8 °F was taken for 72.8 °C, so the thermostat stopped heating and showed about 163 °F. The app now converts according to the unit the device declares, for sensors and for heaters that take a target temperature.
