Gecko InTouch for Homey
Integrate your Gecko-enabled spa or hot tub with Homey for full Gecko InTouch 2 and InTouch 3 controller support.
The two controller generations use separate connection paths:
- Gecko InTouch 2 connects directly over the local network using the controller's IP and MAC addresses.
- Gecko InTouch 3 connects through Gecko's cloud services using Homey OAuth2 authentication.
Features
Real-time water temperature monitoring
Remote temperature adjustment (0–40 °C)
Light on/off control for Gecko InTouch 3 only
Homey Flow support for temperature, water care mode, and light automation
Five configurable water care modes for energy management:
Away From Home – Spa remains in economy mode; set point reduced by 20 °F (11 °C).
Standard – Spa never enters economy mode; filtering follows pack’s low-level configuration.
Energy Saving – Economy mode during peak hours; normal mode resumes on weekends.
Super Energy Saving – Economy mode during peak hours every day.
Weekender – Economy mode Monday–Friday; normal mode on weekends.
Homey Flow Cards
Light control and all light-related Flow cards are supported only for Gecko InTouch 3. Gecko InTouch 2 supports the temperature and water care Flow cards, but not light control.

Requirements
Homey Pro (2023 or later)
Gecko InTouch2 or InTouch3 controller
Local network access to the controller for InTouch 2
A Gecko account and internet connection for InTouch 3
Installation
- Install the app via the Homey App Store.
- Add the device using Homey's pairing wizard.
- Select the Gecko InTouch 2 or Gecko InTouch 3 driver for your hardware.
- For Gecko InTouch 2, enter the spa controller's local IP address and MAC address. No Gecko account login is required.
- For Gecko InTouch 3, enter your Gecko account credentials in Homey's pairing flow. They are exchanged with Gecko Auth0 for OAuth tokens and are not stored by the app. IP and MAC addresses are not used.
Configuration
Temperature range: 0–40 °C
Water care modes: Away From Home, Standard, Energy Saving, Super Energy Saving, Weekender
Light control: on/off for Gecko InTouch 3 only
Troubleshooting
- Verify that your Gecko in.touch controller is online and accessible on the local network.
- If you use Gecko InTouch 2, ensure its IP address and MAC address are correct and that Homey can reach it on the local network.
- If you use Gecko InTouch 3, verify its internet connection and sign in to Gecko again if the OAuth2 session has expired.
- InTouch 2 reports the setpoint received directly from the local spa controller. The app keeps the last known value when no valid temperature data is received; it does not estimate temperatures.
- If InTouch 2 and InTouch 3 hardware modules are connected to the same spa, their local controller state and cloud state can temporarily differ. Compare Homey and the official Gecko app with the spa keypad. The keypad reflects the value accepted by the spa pack.
- Check Homey logs for connection errors.
