You can also build your own AI-powered automations in the Homey flow editor. Create flows that respond when your AI calls a custom command, and send a real answer back to the AI using device values and flow tokens.
Describe an automation in one sentence and your assistant builds the Advanced Flow for you, with every card in its place. Ask how a temperature or your energy use changed over the past weeks and it reads Homey Insights for you. Reaching your Homey from outside works without a computer running day and night.

If the answer cannot be read, is too slow or fails, the flow stops and says why, unless you chose a branch to take instead.

Asks the provider you set up under Ask a model, with your own API key, and continues down the yes branch or the no branch. The model is told to answer with one word. You pick up to five flows and describe the situation. The model picks one of them or none, and the app starts it. Only the flows on this card can ever be started, and every start goes through the same checks as when an AI starts a flow: your guardrail rules, tools you switched off and the access mode. A start a rule blocks stops the flow with that rule. If the model is too slow, fails or names no flow on the card, the fallback decides: stop, start nothing, or start the first flow.

What’s new
Version 5.2.2 — When an action needs a Personal Access Token, such as creating a room, the bridge now says which scope it needs instead of Homey's bare "Missing Scopes". And when a token is set but Homey refused it, it says so, with the reason and how to make a new one.
