Shelly
Shelly makes smart relays, dimmers, plugs, energy meters, sensors, buttons, lighting and more. Its well-known modules fit behind the light switches and sockets you already have and turn them smart without new wiring.
The official Shelly Control app brings every switch, meter and sensor into Homey. From there, you control them in one app, track their energy use and build Flows that respond to what happens around the house.
Meet the Shelly Range
Most Shelly devices are made to disappear into the wall. The Shelly 1, 1PM and their Mini versions sit behind an existing switch and turn any light or appliance smart. The 1L and 2L work without a neutral wire, which suits older homes. The 2PM handles two circuits or runs a roller shutter in cover mode, with position and tilt control. For dimmable lights, there are the Shelly Dimmer and a 0/1-10V dimmer for LED drivers.

Plugs cover everything that doesn't need wiring. Plug S, Plug M, Plug PM and the Power Strip 4 switch appliances and measure their power use. For whole circuits or the entire house, Shelly's energy meters go even further. The EM Mini and PM Mini fit inside a junction box, while the EM, Pro 3EM and Pro EM-50 read consumption, voltage and current right at the electrical panel.
Shelly sensors provide awareness, security and safety to your smart home. For instance, Shelly Flood detects water leaks, Plus Smoke watches for fire, and H&T tracks temperature and humidity. The new Presence Gen4 uses radar to detect human presence people in several room detection zones. Furthermore, the BLU line adds small battery devices, from buttons and remotes to door and window sensors, motion sensors, a distance sensor and a radiator thermostat.
Wi-Fi, Zigbee, Matter, Bluetooth and Z-Wave
Shelly built its name on Wi-Fi, and most devices still connect directly to your home network without a hub. The latest Gen4 devices takes it further. A single Gen4 relay, dimmer, plug or sensor can run on Wi-Fi, Zigbee or Thread, allowing you to pick the protocol that suits your home.

The BLU battery devices talk over Bluetooth Low Energy, and their ZB versions add Zigbee as well. For homes built around Z-Wave, Shelly Wave modules cover breakers and shutters. Shelly Control handles all five protocols in one app, so a Wi-Fi relay and a Zigbee door sensor show up in Homey side by side.
ShellyX and Powered by Shelly Devices
ShellyX is Shelly’s program for other manufacturers. They build a Shelly module into their own products, which then run Shelly’s software and carry the Powered by Shelly label. Several of them already work with Homey through the same Shelly app, including a sprinkler controller, smart water valves, a curtain motor and a portable EV charger.
Because ShellyX devices run the same software as Shelly’s own products, Homey can support them as soon as they’re added to the Shelly app. They pair the same way and bring their triggers and actions into your Flows. For instance, when the Ecowitt WS90 weather station detects rain, Homey skips the evening sprinkler run, and when the wind picks up, Homey closes the curtains and shutters.
Flows with Shelly and Homey
Every Shelly device brings its own triggers, conditions and actions to Homey Flows. That covers switching, dimming and cover position, but also power readings, button presses, input changes and presence zones. A few examples show what that makes possible.
Mount a Presence Gen4 in the living room and split it into zones. When someone sits down on the sofa, Homey dims the ceiling lights and switches on the reading lamp. When the zone empties, everything turns off again.
A Pro 3EM energy meter in the electrical panel shows what the whole house uses at any moment. When total power climbs past a limit you set, Homey switches off a Shelly plug on the space heater or pauses the dryer until demand drops.
Place a Shelly Flood under the washing machine. The moment it detects water, Homey sends a notification to your phone, cuts power to the machine through a Shelly relay and flashes the lights in the hallway, so you know there is an emergency.
Connecting Shelly to Homey
Install the Shelly Control app on Homey and add your devices over Wi-Fi, Zigbee, Matter, Bluetooth or Z-Wave. Once they appear in Homey, they are ready for your first Flow.
Shelly Control works across Homey platforms, with a few protocol limits. Zigbee devices need Homey Pro, Homey Pro mini or Homey Bridge. Matter devices are not available on Homey Cloud.
