What’s new

Version 1.5.8 — Polling resilience and reachability signalling. (1) Per-register error isolation in the poll cycle for both Venus E and Venus D - previously one Modbus timeout on any register (e.g. AC current at 32201) aborted every read after it in the same batch, leaving voltage fresh while power, SOC, battery-power and everything else silently went stale for the whole cycle. Reported by a 3x Venus V3 tester on v1.5.7 - matched the pattern exactly. Now each register-read is guarded so a single timeout skips only that capability's update; every downstream read still runs. Cross-cutting derivations (target_power range, onoff, target_power_mode) fall back to the previous capability value or skip entirely when their upstream mode reads failed, instead of writing garbage. (2) alarm_connectivity capability added to both drivers - installed for existing devices automatically. The pollcycle now toggles this standard Homey boolean instead of calling setUnavailable, so a Modbus outage no longer trips flow errors on every automation referencing the device; instead automations can branch on the 'is disconnected' condition to skip acting on stale data. setUnavailable still triggers on genuinely-permanent issues (wrong-driver detection, static-info retrieval failure at init). (3) Venus E 'Battery is charging' / 'Battery is discharging' condition cards fixed - they read a phantom capability name ('charging_status') that was never written, so the cards always returned false regardless of actual state. Now read the correct 'battery_charging_state' capability that the poll cycle actually writes to. Venus D was not affected.
