Your iPhone talks straight to your Sonos speakers over your own Wi-Fi, and your own voice comes out of the ones you pick. What it cannot do on its own is reach them when you are not home. The problem is not the command but the sound: the speaker fetches the recording from the phone itself, and a phone in another town is not something a speaker can reach.
Your Homey is in the house, so it can hold the recording ready while the speaker fetches it. Install this app, open the phone app once while you are home, and the two find each other on their own. There is nothing to type and nothing to sign in to. No Sonos account is needed, the recording never rests anywhere on the internet, and it is dropped from memory again as soon as it has played. Requires Homey Pro and the Sonos Announcements app for iPhone or Mac.

Runs after an announcement has gone out. The 'heard' tag says whether a speaker actually fetched the sound — a speaker can accept an announcement and still play nothing.

What’s new
Version 1.1.8 — First release. Send a spoken announcement to your Sonos speakers while you are away from home. Nothing to set up: open the phone app once at home and the two find each other. Flow cards tell you when an announcement has gone out, when one never came through, and when the speakers stop answering.
