Grid Green Carbon
The grid's carbon level changed
Grid Green Carbon
Run the house when the grid is clean
France's electricity is cleaner at some hours than at others, and the gap can be threefold within a single day. This app reads the carbon intensity published by RTE, the national grid operator, together with the flows exchanged with neighbouring countries, so that a dishwasher or a car charger can wait for the right moment.

Uses the EcoWatt signal, which needs RTE identifiers in the app settings.
Grid Green Carbon
Tomorrow's Tempo colour is published
RTE publishes it each day around 10:20, French time. Needs RTE identifiers.

Grid Green Carbon
Today's Tempo colour is ...
A tariff signal, not a carbon one: a red day is expensive, which says nothing about its emissions. Needs RTE identifiers.
Grid Green Carbon
The current hour is flagged low-carbon
RTE's own EcoWatt flag, not a calculation of ours. Needs RTE identifiers, and is false when they are missing.
Grid Green Carbon
The grid is ... right now
Relative to the last twenty-four hours, not to a fixed threshold: a winter day and a summer day are each judged against themselves.
Grid Green Carbon
Carbon intensity is below 40 g/kWh
An absolute threshold, which you choose. In France the figure ranges from about ten grams on a sunny day to over a hundred at a winter peak.

Get the grid figures
Returns the figures already held, without calling RTE: the readings refresh by themselves every fifteen minutes.
