Total expected power goes ... 3000 W
PV Forecast
Solar forecast that learns from your own panels.
PV Forecast tells you what your solar panels will produce today and tomorrow per quarter of an hour, and day by day up to a week ahead. It finds your roof by itself and in many regions measures the tilt and direction of every roof plane from public height data, so you only enter the peak power. The forecast combines several weather models and takes your inverter, the panel temperature and snow into account.
Then it learns from your own panels. It reads your inverter or Homey Energy, corrects itself for shade and for each type of weather, and warns you when a string drops out or the panels lose yield. It keeps your history for years and compares itself with other forecast apps, such as Forecast.Solar or Solcast. Turn on what you need, and with Flow cards it plans the home battery, up to three cars, the dishwasher or a boiler on the sun and the cheapest hours, also with day and night prices. It also forecasts what the house and the heat pump will use, and can limit the inverter at a negative feed-in price.

언제...
The expected solar power of all installations together. Fires once each time it crosses the level. For example: above 3000 W, start the heat pump boiler.
All installations
Measured power has been ... 1500 W for 10 min
What the panels really make now, not the forecast. Over all installations together. The minutes make the card wait until it has held that long: 0 reacts at once, 10 skips a passing cloud. For example: start charging the car when the measured power has been above 2000 W for 10 minutes.
All installations
Today’s measured production reaches 10 kWh
Fires once a day, when the measured total of today passes this level. Over all installations together. For example: start the dishwasher once 10 kWh came in today.
All installations
What is still to come today drops below 10 kWh
Fires once a day per level. Over all installations together. For example: stop the boiler on the sun when less than 2 kWh is still to come today.
All installations
Today’s best 3 hour window starts
The hours with the most expected solar energy. Over all installations together. For example: start the dishwasher when today’s best 2 hour window starts.
All installations
Daily report of all installations at ...
Once a day at this time: today measured against expected, and tomorrow, over all installations together, also as a ready sentence. For example: send the summary as a push message at 20:00.
Solar installation
The forecast was updated
Fires after every new forecast, every 30 minutes unless changed in the device settings. For example: write tomorrow's total to a variable for a dashboard.
Solar installation
Expected power goes ... 1500 W
Fires once each time the expected solar power crosses the level. For example: above 2000 W switch on the boiler, and with a second Flow below 500 W switch it off.
Solar installation
Today's best 3 hour window starts
Fires once a day, at the start of the hours with the most expected solar energy today. For example: with 2 hours, switch on the plug of the dishwasher you loaded in the morning.
Solar installation
The panels produce clearly less than expected
Fires after two hours in a row with a clear shortfall: one plane far behind the others, or everything below the cautious estimate. Think of a tripped string, a fault in the inverter or snow. For example: send a push message to check the inverter.
Solar installation
Daily report
Fires once a day at the time set in the device settings (21:00 unless changed). The summary token is a ready sentence for a push message. For example: set the time to 20:00 and send the summary as a push message. The two value tokens give what the panels brought so far, in the currency of Homey Energy: the solar power used at home at the grid price plus what went to the grid at the feed-in price. Without a price they are 0. The month and year tokens add up the days the app keeps, today included; expected this month is a figure for the whole month: the forecasts of the days so far and of the coming days.
Solar installation
The panels may need cleaning
Fires when the yield on sunny days of the last two weeks is 10 % or more below the six weeks before, without a weather reason. For example: send yourself a reminder to clean them.
Solar installation
The panels did worse than normal today
Fires at 22:30 when the panels made clearly less (15 % or more) than they normally make in the sunlight that actually reached your roof today, measured by satellite. Unlike "The panels produce clearly less than expected", bad weather never sets this one off; a tripped string or a fault on a sunny day does. Needs five days with sun to know what is normal. For example: send yourself a message to check the inverter.
Solar installation
One of today's 3 sunniest hours starts
Sunniest means the most expected energy in that hour, with the learned correction, the same forecast the device shows. Fires once, at the start of each such hour. For example: with 3 hours, run the pool pump in the 3 sunniest hours.
Solar installation
Still to come today drops below 5 kWh
Fires once a day, when the expected energy for the rest of today goes from this level or more to less. For example: below 2 kWh, stop charging the car on the sun.
Solar installation
Tomorrow's forecast changed by more than 20 %
Compares tomorrow's total after every forecast refresh with the total of the refresh before. Totals under 0.5 kWh are not compared. 20 % is a good start. For example: send a push message with Before and Now when tomorrow drops sharply.
Solar installation
Expected surplus goes above 1500 W
Surplus is the expected solar power minus the usual house load at this hour. Needs a house consumption source in the app settings, tab Measurement. Runs once each time the level is crossed. For example: above 1500 W, switch on the boiler.
Solar installation
The sun ... on Roof plane for 15 min
Fires when the sun comes in front of this roof plane, or leaves it, also when it goes behind an obstacle of the measured horizon. Clouds do not count here. For example: start the dishwasher when the sun starts shining on the west roof plane. The minutes make the card wait until it has held that long: 0 reacts at once, 15 waits until the sun has really cleared the edge.
Solar installation
The sun ... for 15 min
Uses the trees and buildings around the roof, measured from a height map when the roof was looked up by address. Without a measured horizon it never fires. For example: raise the sunscreen when the sun goes behind the trees of the neighbours. The minutes make the card wait until it has held that long: 0 reacts at once, 15 waits until the sun has really cleared the edge.
Solar installation
Direct sunlight ... a surface facing ... at 90° for 15 min
For a window, wall or terrace: the sun is in front of it, not behind an obstacle, and your panels show it is really sunny (measured power, or the forecast when nothing is measured). 90° is a wall or window, 0° is flat. For example: lower the sunscreen when direct sunlight starts falling on a surface facing south-west at 90°. The minutes make the card wait until the change has held that long: 0 reacts at once, 15 skips a passing cloud.
Solar installation
Measured power has been ... 1500 W for 10 min
What the panels really make now, not the forecast. For example: start charging the car when the measured power has been above 2000 W for 10 minutes. Uses the power the app measures from your inverter, Homey Energy or a Flow; without a measurement it never fires. The minutes make the card wait until it has held that long: 0 reacts at once, 10 skips a passing cloud.
Solar installation
A roof plane makes much less than the others
Compares the measured power of each roof plane with its own forecast. When one plane makes less than half of what the best other plane makes for half an hour, it fires once that day for that plane: a failed string, shade or dirt. It needs a measurement per roof plane. For example: send a push message with the roof plane and the percentage.
Solar installation
Today’s measured production reaches 10 kWh
Fires once a day, when the measured total of today passes this level. For example: start the dishwasher once 10 kWh came in today.
Solar installation
The panels ...
Measured, not the sunrise: starting is the first 10 minutes of the day above 1 % of the peak power (at least 50 W), stopping is the last 20 minutes below it in the evening. Once a day each. For example: turn off the outdoor lights when the panels start producing.
Solar installation
...
Follows the snow depth of the weather models for this hour, from 1 cm. For example: send a reminder to brush the panels when snow on the panels is expected.
Solar installation
The price turns negative while a surplus is expected
Fires once per stretch of negative prices, about 15 minutes before it starts, when the forecast expects solar power left over in it. Lowest price is the lowest of the stretch, expected surplus the average in W, from and until its start and end. Only with dynamic prices from Homey Energy. Needs "Electricity prices" on in the app settings, tab Measurement, under Functions. For example: limit the inverter, or switch on the boiler instead of sending power to the grid.
Solar installation
The charging plan of Car 1 changed
Fires when the active car plan, made again every 15 minutes and after a new forecast or new prices, comes out different: other charging quarters or power, a ready time that moves 10 minutes or more, or ready in time that changes. It also fires when the departures under "Car" start a plan. Needs "Car charging" on in the app settings, tab Measurement, under Functions. For example: send a push message when ready in time turns to no. With more than one car, pick the car or Every car; left empty, it fires for the first car only. The token Car is the name of the car.
Solar installation
Car 1 needs charging but is not plugged in
Fires once per departure when the car or charger device says the car is not plugged in while the plan still has to charge: 3 hours before the departure, or earlier when charging at full power takes more than 2 hours. The token Needed is the kWh still to charge, Departure the time of the deadline. Needs "Car charging" on in the app settings, tab Measurement, under Functions, and a plugged in value picked under "Car". For example: send a push message to plug in the car. With more than one car, pick the car or Every car; left empty, it fires for the first car only. The token Car is the name of the car.
Solar installation
The battery plan changed mode
Fires once each time the mode of the day plan for now changes: at the start of a planned stretch, or when a new plan, made every 15 minutes and after new prices, comes out different. Mode is charge_grid, hold, discharge or normal; power is positive to charge, negative to discharge, 0 to hold; until is when this mode ends. Needs "Home battery day plan" on in the app settings, tab Measurement, under Functions. For example: set the battery to the matching mode of your inverter.
Solar installation
The quarter-hour peak is about to exceed empty: the level from the settings kW
For the capacity tariff in Flanders. Fires at most once per quarter hour, with at least 3 minutes left, when this quarter would end above the level if the power taken from the grid now goes on. Leave the level empty for "Stay under" under "Capacity tariff", or else the peak of this month so far, at least 2.5 kW. Needs "Capacity tariff" on in the app settings, tab Measurement, under Functions, and a grid meter or a house meter with the inverter. For example: at 4 kW, pause the car charger.
Solar installation
A new monthly peak was set
For the capacity tariff in Flanders. Fires when a quarter hour ends with the highest average power taken from the grid this month, once it is above the 2.5 kW that is always billed. Peak is that average, time the start of the quarter hour. Needs "Capacity tariff" on in the app settings, tab Measurement, under Functions. For example: send a push message with the peak and the time.
Solar installation
It is time to start Appliance
Fires once at the start planned by "Plan an appliance to finish before a time". Starting stays with your Flow: switch on the plug, or run the start card of the appliance app with the programme already chosen; many machines need remote start enabled on the machine itself. Needs "Appliances and queue" on in the app settings, tab Measurement, under Functions. For example: switch on the plug of the dishwasher.
Solar installation
Appliance finished
Fires when a run of the appliance ends, planned or not, seen in the power or the state of the device picked under "Appliances". Energy is what the run used, cost what it cost, share from the sun the part the surplus covered. Each run also teaches the power curve of the appliance. Needs "Appliances and queue" on in the app settings, tab Measurement, under Functions. For example: send a message that the washing is done, with the share from the sun.
Solar installation
The heat buffer may start heating
Fires once when the heat buffer may start heating: a planned quarter hour begins after one that was not, or a new plan heats now. The temperature is the boost temperature or the raised setpoint to set, the power what the heater takes. Switching the heater stays with your Flow. Needs "Heat buffer" on in the app settings, tab Measurement, under Functions, with the device linked under "Heat buffer". For example: set the thermostat of the boiler to the temperature token, or switch on the plug.
Solar installation
The heat buffer may stop heating
Fires once when the planned quarter hours of the heat buffer end, or when the device reads its top temperature. The temperature is the normal setpoint again, the power 0. Needs "Heat buffer" on in the app settings, tab Measurement, under Functions, with the device linked under "Heat buffer". For example: set the thermostat of the boiler back to the temperature token, or switch off the boost mode.
Solar installation
The inverter limit changed
Fires when the power the inverter may make changes clearly: a lower limit at once, a higher one at most every 3 minutes, and at once when the feed-in price turns negative or back to 0 or more. While the feed-in price is negative: what the house takes now, plus what the home battery can still take and the cars, appliances and heat buffer the app runs now, a little less for safety, so nothing goes to the grid. At a feed-in price of 0 or more: the full maximum. The % is of the inverter limit set for this installation, else of its peak power. Needs "Inverter limit at a negative price" and "Electricity prices" on in the app settings, tab Measurement, under Functions. For example: set the power limit of your inverter to the tag Limit (W).
Solar installation
Year report
Fires on 1 January in the morning, at the time of the morning message when that is on, else at 09:00, with what the panels made last year and what it was worth, against the year before when both years were measured on enough of the same days. Summary is a ready sentence for a push message. Unknown figures are 0. Needs "Messages without a Flow" and "History and what the panels brought" on in the app settings, tab Measurement, under Functions. For example: send the summary as a push message.

Solar installation
The home battery will be full today
True when the home battery is expected to reach full before the end of today, from its level now and the expected surplus for the rest of the day. Needs a home battery under "Consumption and home battery". For example: when it will be full anyway, let the car charge on the sun first.
Solar installation
The sun has been shining on Roof plane for at least 15 min
True while the sun is in front of this roof plane and not behind an obstacle of the measured horizon. Clouds do not count here. For example: charge the car on the sun only while the sun shines on roof plane 2. The minutes ask that it has held that long: 0 looks at this moment only.
Solar installation
The sun has been behind an obstacle for at least 15 min
True while the sun is up but hidden by a tree or building of the measured horizon. Without a measured horizon it is never true. For example: skip lowering the sunscreen in the evening when the sun is already behind the trees. The minutes ask that it has held that long: 0 looks at this moment only.
Solar installation
Direct sunlight has been falling on a surface facing ... at 90° for at least 15 min
True while the sun is in front of this surface, not behind an obstacle, and your panels show it is really sunny. 90° is a wall or window, 0° is flat. For example: when the living room gets warmer than 24 °C, lower the sunscreen only if direct sunlight falls on a surface facing south at 90°. The minutes ask that it has held that long: 0 looks at this moment only.
Solar installation

Solar installation
... reaches 60 % of a clear day
Compares the forecast with what your roof makes on a clear day of that date, so one Flow works the whole year: 15 kWh is a top day in December and a grey one in June. For example: charge the home battery from the grid at night only when tomorrow does not reach 40 % of a clear day.
Solar installation
Now is among the 4 cheapest hours ..., counting the sun
True when this hour is among the cheapest hours of the period. The part of an hour the expected surplus covers counts at the feed-in price you give up, the rest at the grid price. Prices as set under "Electricity prices", with "Electricity prices" on in the app settings, tab Measurement, under Functions. For example: with 4 hours of today, let the heat pump heat the water only in those hours.
Solar installation
The electricity price is below 0.10 per kWh
True when the grid price of this moment is below the level, per kWh in the currency of your contract. Prices as set under "Electricity prices", with "Electricity prices" on in the app settings, tab Measurement, under Functions. For example: below 0.10, start the dishwasher.

The electricity price is negative
True while the grid price of this moment is below 0. Prices as set under "Electricity prices", with "Electricity prices" on in the app settings, tab Measurement, under Functions. For example: only switch off the inverter while the price is negative.
Solar installation
Now is a planned hour to charge the battery from the grid
True in a planned hour of "Plan charging the home battery from the grid", and only when charging pays. Without a plan it makes one first; once a card of the day plan ran in the last 24 hours, it follows that plan. Needs "Home battery day plan" on in the app settings, tab Measurement, under Functions. For example: every 15 minutes at night, charge the battery from the grid when this is true and set it back to normal when it is not.
Solar installation
The battery plan says ... now
True when the day plan of the battery says this mode now. Charge from the grid: charge from the grid now. Hold the charge: do not discharge, keep it for dearer hours. Discharge to the grid: only when you allowed that under "Day plan of the battery". Normal: the battery charges from the sun and gives to the house by itself. Without a plan for now it makes one first. Needs "Home battery day plan" on in the app settings, tab Measurement, under Functions. For example: every 15 minutes, stop discharging when the plan says hold the charge, and set self-consumption back when it says normal.
Solar installation
Car 1 is planned to charge now
True when the active car plan charges in this quarter hour and the goal is not reached yet. False while the car device says the car is not plugged in. It does not look at the live sun; "Charging power for the car now" does. Needs "Car charging" on in the app settings, tab Measurement, under Functions. For example: every 15 minutes, switch the charger on when this is true and off when it is not. With more than one car under "Car", pick the car; left empty, the card is about the first car.
Solar installation
Car 1 is plugged in
True when the car or charger device picked under "Car" says the car is plugged in. Gives an error while that device does not tell. A picked value that only says whether the car is charging does not tell when it says no, since a car can be plugged in without charging. Needs "Car charging" on in the app settings, tab Measurement, under Functions. For example: when the car is plugged in after 18:00, send a message with the charging plan. With more than one car under "Car", pick the car; left empty, the card is about the first car.
Solar installation
The quarter-hour power is above empty: the level from the settings kW, based on ...
True when the average power taken from the grid in this quarter hour is above the level: where it ends if the power now goes on, or the average so far. Leave the level empty for "Stay under" under "Capacity tariff", or else the peak of this month so far, at least 2.5 kW. Needs "Capacity tariff" on in the app settings, tab Measurement, under Functions, and a grid reading in the last 5 minutes. For example: only start the dryer when the expected end is not above 4 kW.
Solar installation
This month's production is above 300 kWh
True when what the panels made this month so far, today included, is above the level. Needs "History and what the panels brought" on in the app settings, tab Measurement, under Functions. For example: in the evening, send a message only when this month already brought more than 300 kWh.
Solar installation
Appliance is planned to start now
True in the quarter hour of the start planned by "Plan an appliance to finish before a time", until a run of the appliance is seen. Needs "Appliances and queue" on in the app settings, tab Measurement, under Functions. For example: in a Flow every minute, switch on the plug when this is true.
Solar installation
The heat buffer may heat now
True in the planned quarter hours of the heat buffer, until the device reads its top temperature: the boost temperature of a boiler, the raised setpoint of the house. The app switches nothing itself; your Flow does, with a plug, the setpoint card of a thermostat or a card of the device app. Needs "Heat buffer" on in the app settings, tab Measurement, under Functions, with the device linked under "Heat buffer". For example: in a Flow every minute, turn on the boost mode of the water heater when this is true.
Solar installation
Tomorrow’s expected use is above 30 kWh
Compares what the house is expected to use tomorrow with the level, from what the app learned per type of day and outdoor temperature, with the heat pump forecast when one is linked. The car, the appliances and the heat buffer the app plans are not in it. Needs a house consumption source and "House load with the temperature" on in the app settings, tab Measurement, under Functions. For example: when tomorrow is above 30 kWh, keep the home battery full tonight.
Solar installation
The heat pump will use more than 25 kWh tomorrow
Compares what the linked heat pump is expected to use tomorrow with the level, from what it used per hour against the outdoor temperature and the weather forecast for tomorrow. It needs three days of readings first. Needs "Heat pump forecast" on in the app settings, tab Measurement, under Functions, and the heat pump linked under "Heat pump". For example: when the heat pump will use more than 25 kWh tomorrow, charge the home battery tonight at the cheap rate.
Solar installation
Production is limited now
True while the feed-in price is negative and the limit of "Inverter limit for now" holds the panels back: it is clearly below what they could make now by the forecast. Not at night, nor when they make less than the limit anyway. Needs "Inverter limit at a negative price" and "Electricity prices" on in the app settings, tab Measurement, under Functions. For example: switch on the boiler only while production is limited.

Report measured solar power of 2450 W
Run this at least every few minutes with the power of your panels, not your inverter output with battery. The device uses it to measure what you really produced and to learn. For example: when the power of your inverter changes, run this card with that power as a token.
Solar installation
Report solar energy meter of 19830.4 kWh

Gives the start, the end and the expected energy of the window with the most solar energy, as tokens. For example: 2 hours in the rest of today, then a push message with Starts at, or wait Minutes until start before switching on a plug.
Advanced
Solar installation
Get expected production between ... and ... ...
Gives the expected and the cautious energy between the two times as tokens. For example: 10:00 to 16:00 tomorrow, to decide tonight whether the car can wait for the sun.
Advanced
Solar installation
Get expected production for the next 3 hours
Gives the expected and the cautious energy for the coming hours as tokens. For example: the next 3 hours, before you start the dryer.
Advanced
Solar installation
Refresh the forecast now
Fetches a new weather forecast now instead of waiting for the next refresh. For example: as the first card of the Flow that decides on charging the battery tonight.
Solar installation
Forget what was learned
Use this after cleaning the panels, removing shade or changing the installation. For example: once, after you added panels.
Solar installation
Find the best start for 2000 W during 120 minutes ...
Picks the start where the sun covers the largest share of what the appliance uses. Per quarter hour only the solar power up to the appliance's own power counts, so a short peak does not win over a steady stretch. For example: dishwasher 1800 W for 120 minutes in the rest of today, then wait Minutes until start and switch on its plug.
Advanced
Solar installation
Get the forecast for ... as JSON
Power in W per 15 minutes for one day, or per hour for both days, with the day total and the cautious total in kWh. Hours without sun at the start and end of a day are left out. For example: pass it to a HomeyScript that draws its own chart.
Advanced
Solar installation
Battery plan
Whether the home battery gets full today, at what time, and how many kWh it still lacks to be full by tomorrow evening. For example: at 22:00, charge from the grid when the shortfall is above 3 kWh. For a plan that also handles a grey day: Battery plan on the cautious forecast.
Advanced
Solar installation
Battery plan on the cautious forecast
The same as Battery plan, but counting on the cautious forecast, which is reached 9 days out of 10. Use it when a wrong guess costs money. For example: at 22:00, charge from the grid when the shortfall is above 3 kWh, so a grey day does not leave the battery empty. When only one weather model is available, it gives the same as Battery plan.
Advanced
Solar installation
Find the cheapest start for 2000 W during 120 minutes ..., prices empty: the prices of the app
Finds the start with the lowest cost for the grid energy the expected surplus does not cover. Leave prices empty to use the prices under "Electricity prices", with "Electricity prices" on in the app settings, tab Measurement, under Functions. Or fill in a JSON list of prices per kWh from a price app: 24 hourly or 96 quarter-hourly numbers from midnight, or objects with a time and a price. For example: washing machine 2000 W for 180 minutes in the next 24 hours.
Advanced
Solar installation
Get how sunny ... will be
Gives the forecast as a share of what your roof makes on a clear day of that date. For example: put the percentage in the morning push message, so 30 % reads as a grey day in every season.
Advanced
Solar installation
Find the sunniest day in the coming 7 days, today included
Looks at today and the days after it, up to 7 days in all, and gives the day with the highest expected production. The cautious estimate is a low but likely total; it is lower the further ahead the day is. For example: with 7 days, send yourself a push message on Sunday with the best day for the laundry.
Advanced
Solar installation
Get the position of the sun
Height and direction of the sun now, the height of the obstacle in that direction from the measured horizon, and the roof planes the sun shines on. For example: log the sun height every 15 minutes, or use it in a calculation for a sunscreen.
Advanced
Solar installation
Find the cheapest start for 2000 W during 120 minutes ...
Finds the start with the lowest cost for an appliance of this power and run time, from the next quarter hour on. The part the expected surplus covers counts at the feed-in price you give up, the rest at the grid price. Cost is that of the whole run, in the currency of your contract. Prices as set under "Electricity prices", with "Electricity prices" on in the app settings, tab Measurement, under Functions. For example: a washing machine of 2000 W for 120 minutes in the next 24 hours.
Advanced
Solar installation
Plan charging the home battery from the grid
Works out how much the home battery still needs from the grid tonight to get through to the sun tomorrow, on the cautious forecast and the learned house load, and picks the cheapest hours before the morning. Worth it is no when the sun fills the battery anyway or charging does not pay. Once a card of the day plan ran in the last 24 hours, this card follows that plan. Needs "Home battery day plan" on in the app settings, tab Measurement, under Functions, with a home battery and the house consumption under "Consumption and home battery", and prices. For example: at 22:00, run this card and switch the battery to grid charging when worth it is yes.
Advanced
Solar installation
Battery grid charging power now
Gives the grid charging power for now from the plan of "Plan charging the home battery from the grid", 0 outside a planned hour. With "Capacity tariff" on, the quarter hour stays under its level. Without a plan it makes one first; once a card of the day plan ran in the last 24 hours, it follows that plan. Needs "Home battery day plan" on in the app settings, tab Measurement, under Functions. For example: every 15 minutes at night, set the grid charge power of the battery to the power token.
Advanced
Solar installation
Plan the home battery for the coming day
Plans the home battery for the next 24 to 36 hours on the cautious forecast, the learned house load and the prices: when to charge from the grid, when to hold the charge for dearer hours, and when to just run normally. A step is only planned when it earns the minimum profit per kWh set under "Day plan of the battery". The app keeps the plan up to date every 15 minutes; this card makes it now and gives the totals and the next mode with its time. Needs "Home battery day plan" on in the app settings, tab Measurement, under Functions, with a home battery and the house consumption under "Consumption and home battery", and prices. For example: at 14:00, send yourself the expected saving.
Advanced
Solar installation
Battery power now
Gives the battery power for now from the day plan, with its mode: positive to charge, negative to discharge, 0 to hold the charge. With "Capacity tariff" on, grid charging keeps the quarter hour under its level. Without a plan for now it makes one first. Needs "Home battery day plan" on in the app settings, tab Measurement, under Functions. For example: every 15 minutes, set the charge or discharge power of the battery to the power token.
Advanced
Solar installation
The panels are limited or switched off, until a time, or empty: until they are on again
Tells the app the panels are held back on purpose, for a negative price or an export limit. Those hours then do not count for the panel warnings or the soiling check, and teach the learning nothing while "Keep curtailed hours out of the learning" is on in the app settings, tab Measurement, under Functions, as it is by default. Fill in an end time such as 17:00, or leave it empty and use "The panels produce normally again". An hour with a negative price in which the panels make less than 15 % of the forecast counts as held back by itself. For example: when the price turns negative, switch off the inverter and run this card until 17:00.
Solar installation
The panels produce normally again
Ends a limit set with the card "The panels are limited or switched off"; from now on the hours count for learning again. For example: when the price is positive again, switch the inverter back on and run this card.
Solar installation
Plan 20 kWh for Car 1 before ..., ..., charger 1400 to 7400 W, up to 0 % grid at minimum, ... forecast
Plans how the car gets this many kWh before the time. Sun only uses the expected surplus. Sun first, grid when needed adds the cheapest grid quarters for what the sun does not bring in time. Cheapest weighs every quarter on its price and needs prices. Below the charger minimum, a quarter with too little sun is skipped unless the grid part stays within the share you allow. The plan is made again every 15 minutes. Cost counts grid energy at the grid price and sun at the feed-in price. Needs "Car charging" on in the app settings, tab Measurement, under Functions. For example: plan 20 kWh before 07:00, charger 1400 to 7400 W, sun first, and run "Charging power for the car now" every minute. With more than one car under "Car", pick the car; left empty, the card is about the first car.
Advanced
Solar installation
Plan Car 1 to 80 %, battery 60 kWh now at 35 %, before ..., ..., charger 1400 to 7400 W, up to 0 % grid at minimum, ... forecast
The same plan as "Plan charging the car with a number of kWh", for a target level: it works out the kWh from the size of the car battery, the level now and the target, with 90 % charging efficiency. With a car device picked under "Car", its state of charge counts instead of the level on the card. Needs "Car charging" on in the app settings, tab Measurement, under Functions. For example: to 80 % with a 60 kWh battery now at 35 %, before 07:00, sun first. With more than one car under "Car", pick the car; left empty, the card is about the first car.
Advanced
Solar installation
Charging power for Car 1 now, on ..., the car takes What the car takes now in W W now
Gives the power and current to set on the charger now, from the active car plan. 0 means stop, also without a plan or while the car device says the car is not plugged in. In the sun modes it follows the live surplus up to the maximum. Fill in what the car takes now for the best result; without it, a charger power picked under "Car" counts, else the power rises step by step. With "Capacity tariff" on, the quarter hour never goes over its level. Needs "Car charging" on in the app settings, tab Measurement, under Functions. For example: every minute, run this card and set the charging current of your charger to the current token. With more than one car under "Car", pick the car; left empty, the card is about the first car.
Advanced
Solar installation
Car 1 has charged 6.5 kWh so far
Tells the active plan what the charger really delivered since the plan started, so it plans only the rest. Without this card the plan counts what the car takes in "Charging power for the car now", or else the power that card handed out. A state of charge from the car device wins over both. Needs "Car charging" on in the app settings, tab Measurement, under Functions. For example: every 15 minutes, run this card with the session energy of your charger. With more than one car under "Car", pick the car; left empty, the card is about the first car.
Solar installation
Stop the charging plan of Car 1
Ends the active car plan: "Charging power for the car now" then gives 0 and the plan is not made again. A plan made by the departures under "Car" stays stopped until that departure. A plan also ends by itself at its deadline. Needs "Car charging" on in the app settings, tab Measurement, under Functions. For example: when the car is unplugged, run this card. With more than one car under "Car", pick the car; left empty, the card is about the first car.
Solar installation
Mark Car 1 away until ...
Up to and including this date the car settings under "Car" plan nothing: no departure of the week and no minimum charge. A date before today clears it. The plan cards keep working. Needs "Car charging" on in the app settings, tab Measurement, under Functions. For example: when you leave on holiday, mark the car away until the day before you come back. With more than one car under "Car", pick the car; left empty, the card is about the first car.
Solar installation
Work out the power still free this quarter hour, staying under empty: the level from the settings kW
Gives the extra power you can switch on now, on top of what the house takes from the grid, so this quarter hour ends at or below the level. 0 means switch something off. Leave the level empty for "Stay under" under "Capacity tariff", or else the peak of this month so far, at least 2.5 kW. Needs "Capacity tariff" on in the app settings, tab Measurement, under Functions, and a grid reading in the last 5 minutes. For example: every minute, give the heat pump or the car charger at most the available power.
Advanced
Solar installation
Get the production of Period
Gives what the panels made in the period, what the forecast expected for the same days and what the solar power was worth, in the currency of your prices. A week starts on Monday; a period that runs now counts up to now. Without prices the value is 0. Days from before version 2.6 count only as far as the app kept them, about two months. Needs "History and what the panels brought" on in the app settings, tab Measurement, under Functions. For example: on the 1st of the month, send yourself a push message with the production and value of last month.
Advanced
Solar installation
Plan Appliance to finish before ..., after Optional: another appliance
Plans the start so the run is done before the time, on the learned power curve of the appliance, counting the expected sun, the house load and the other plans. Fill in another appliance in the last field and this one starts only after that one is done. All appliances in the queue are planned together, and again every 15 minutes until they start; then "It is time to start an appliance" fires. Until a run is learned, the power and duration set under "Appliances" count. Without prices the sunniest start wins and the cost is 0. Needs "Appliances and queue" on in the app settings, tab Measurement, under Functions, with the appliance added under "Appliances". For example: the washing machine before 20:00 and the dryer after the washing machine.
Advanced
Solar installation
Cancel the plan for Appliance
Takes the appliance out of the queue; the others are planned again without it. Needs "Appliances and queue" on in the app settings, tab Measurement, under Functions. For example: cancel the plan for the dryer when nobody is home.
Solar installation
Plan the heat buffer for today
Plans the quarter hours of the rest of today in which the boiler or heat pump stores sun or cheap grid power as heat, on what the home battery, the car and the appliances leave. The app makes the plan again every 15 minutes by itself; this card makes it now and gives the kWh from the sun, the kWh from cheap grid power and the planned hours. Switching the heater stays with your Flow. Needs "Heat buffer" on in the app settings, tab Measurement, under Functions, with the device linked under "Heat buffer". For example: in the morning, send yourself a message with the planned hours.
Advanced
Solar installation
Heat buffer setpoint now
Gives the temperature to set now: in the planned quarter hours the boost temperature of a boiler or the raised setpoint of a heat pump, otherwise the normal one. The power is what the heater takes then, 0 outside the plan. Setting it stays with your Flow. Needs "Heat buffer" on in the app settings, tab Measurement, under Functions, with the device linked under "Heat buffer". For example: every 15 minutes, set the target temperature of the boiler to the temperature token.
Advanced
Solar installation
Get the expected use ...
Gives what the house is expected to use on a day up to six days ahead, as far as the weather forecast reaches, and the share of it the panels cover at the moment it is used. With a home battery linked, the share also counts the sun it stores and gives back later. Today is what was measured so far plus the rest of the day; its share is that of the rest of the day. When that share is not known, it is -1. Needs a house consumption source and "House load with the temperature" on in the app settings, tab Measurement, under Functions. For example: every evening, send yourself the use and the own sun share of tomorrow.
Advanced
Solar installation
Get the expected use of the heat pump ...
Gives what the linked heat pump is expected to use on a day up to six days ahead, from what it used per hour against the outdoor temperature, and the mean outdoor temperature of that day. Today counts the whole day. When the forecast has no outdoor temperature, the temperature is -100. Needs "Heat pump forecast" on in the app settings, tab Measurement, under Functions, and the heat pump linked under "Heat pump". For example: on Sunday evening, send yourself the use of the heat pump for each day of the week.
Advanced
Solar installation
Inverter limit for now
Gives the power the inverter may make now, in W and in %. For example: every 5 minutes, run this card and set the power limit of your inverter to the tag Limit (%).

버전 2.7.2 — No more red alarm about Homey Energy in the self check: Homey does not let apps read its forecast, so the comparison works with other forecast apps such as Forecast.Solar or Solcast. The battery day plan shows its times under the right bars and says how far it reaches. The own sun share of the expected use now counts the home battery, and today counts what was already measured.
