Aikion is an AI-powered energy management platform. The app for Homey automatically optimises your solar, battery and EV chargers to vastly improve the savings and earnings of your home energy solution.
Cut your energy costs without hassle. Aikion forecasts your solar production, learns your home's consumption pattern, follows hourly spot prices, and schedules your battery and EV charging so you import less energy, and at a lower cost. The energy you do sell will be sold at a higher value.
Aikion builds an hourly battery schedule based on spot prices and a physics-based solar forecast that takes weather reports into account. It shaves consumption peaks to lower your grid power fees, charges your EV smartly with priority for surplus solar, and switches to self-consumption mode when that is the most profitable choice. You get a live overview in Homey, and high resolution history in the Aikion web app.
Supported hardware includes hybrid inverters, batteries and energy meters from Sungrow, Deye, Huawei, GoodWe, Fronius, SolarEdge and Victron, Garo EV chargers and energy meters, the Homey Energy Dongle, and OCPP compatible EV chargers.
Configuration is simple. The app asks for a couple of details about your plant, such as the number of solar panels and the location of your home. Pair your devices and that's it! Aikion takes over from there and picks the right mode every 10 seconds on its own. Open the Aikion web app to set your subscription, grid fuse limit and preferences, or to override the schedule when you need to.

Versione 2.12.0 — • New: Flow card to turn Controller automation on or off. • Improved: while Aikion automation is on, manual control of the devices is locked so it can't work against the schedule. Turn automation off to take control yourself. • Improved: the battery's max charge and discharge power are set in the Aikion app and kept there. The driver only suggests a value for a new battery, and the batteries follow the power you set. • Fix (Sungrow): the battery could get stuck never charging when its charge limit was briefly lowered by the schedule. The schedule now always sees the battery's real limits. • Fix: the battery is no longer drained below your minimum charge level by house or EV loads in self-consumption modes. • Fix: a schedule that starts mid-quarter now charges and discharges with the right power for the minutes left. • Fix (GoodWe): an inverter without a battery is no longer treated as a battery system. • Fix (Sungrow): the DTSU666-20 Channel 2 meter can now be paired. • Fix (Victron): the battery temperature is shown on the device.
