Your blinds and awnings move when someone picks up the remote, and not otherwise. This app puts them in Homey, so the shade can come out when the sun reaches the terrace, go back in before the wind picks up, and close at night on its own. Homey learns your own handset when you add a blind, so it only ever speaks to yours and never to a neighbour's. Each of the remote's five channels becomes its own device, and Homey keeps listening afterwards: when someone uses the handset by hand, Homey notices and stays in step instead of showing a stale position. Blinds can also be set to a position, say half open. The motors report nothing back, so Homey works that out by timing them: an estimate rather than a reading, corrected whenever a blind runs fully open or fully closed, which Homey does on its own once the estimate has drifted. Time each blind once from its settings first.
