Control solar production dynamically: turn production off during negative energy prices, limit output to a custom wattage, or restrict generation to self-consumption to prevent grid export and optimize household energy balance. Supported capabilities depend on your system hardware and account access. While real-time monitoring works with any setup, controlling production, limiting output, or restricting export requires a linked Installer, Maintainer, or DIY account. Dynamic export limiting (self-use only) specifically requires a metered gateway with installed consumption clamps. On unmetered gateways, commands to toggle or limit production can take up to 30 minutes to propagate to the microinverters.
