EV charger
Charging was paused
i
A running session stopped drawing power for at least 2 seconds. The reason tag is charger when the charger holds the pause, for example a 0 A limit, its own schedule or app, and car when the car holds it, for example because it is full.
EV charger
Charging resumed
i
A paused session draws power again for at least 2 seconds. Not fired for a new session; use Charging started for that. The reason tag says who held the pause: charger or car.
EV charger
The charging limit changed
i
The charger accepted a new current limit from Homey. 0 A means Homey paused charging. The source tag says which card or automation set it.
EV charger
A charging session ended
i
The charger ended a session, for example because the car was unplugged or charging was stopped. Pauses do not end a session. Energy and duration are 0 when Homey did not see the start of the session. Card ID is the card the charger reported for the session, or the Card ID for Homey starts from the device settings when Homey started it; empty when unknown. Use it with the energy to bill a tenant.
EV charger
The car stopped charging
i
The car stopped drawing power, usually because it is full or finished its own schedule. Use it to stop a Flow that adjusts the current. Fires once when the car holds the pause, or the session is finishing, with almost no current for the time set in the device settings, 2 minutes by default. Not for a pause by Homey or by the charger. Fires again only after charging started again. The reason tag is full or finished, or session ended.
OCPP Bridge
Connection alert
i
Fires when the charging provider or charger connection has been down for a while, was restored automatically, or could not be restored. Use the message tag in a Flow that sends a push notification.

EV charger
Charging is paused
i
A session is running but not drawing power, held by the charger or by the car.
EV charger
Pause is held by the Held by
i
Charger: the charger itself holds the pause, for example a 0 A limit, its own app or schedule. Car: the car holds it, for example because it is full or has its own schedule. Homey can only lift a pause held by the charger.
EV charger
A charging session is running
i
True from the start of a session until it ends, also while it is paused.
EV charger
The car has stopped charging
i
The car stopped drawing power, usually because it is full or finished its own schedule. Use it to stop a Flow that adjusts the current. True in the same state as the card The car stopped charging, once it held for the time set in the device settings; false while it charges, after it is unplugged, during a pause by Homey or by the charger, and while the charger is not connected.

Start charging
i
A car must be plugged in. A paused session is resumed instead, except a pause that a smart card such as Protect the main fuse or Charge from solar surplus set for lack of power while it still runs: that card resumes by itself after its wait, so Start charging changes nothing then. In a Flow that runs every few seconds, put the condition A charging session isn't running before this card. Homey's own Start charging card for EV chargers works like the on/off switch and always lifts the pause.
EV charger
Resume charging
i
For a paused session: Homey sends the last current limit it set again, at least the lowest current plus the extra resume current, or the highest current if it never set one. If the charger stays paused, Homey tries one amp more by itself, at most twice, and only then restarts the session if that is on in the device settings. Repeated calls are limited to one attempt per 30 seconds by default. If the car holds the pause, for example because it is full, Homey cannot override it. This card always lifts a pause by Homey, also one a smart card set for lack of power; in a Flow that runs every few seconds next to a smart card, use Start charging with the condition A charging session isn't running instead. To start a new session, use Start charging.
EV charger
Stop charging
i
Ends the session. To keep the session and only stop the power, use Pause charging. Homey also shows its own Stop charging card for every EV charger; in this app both do exactly the same.
EV charger
Set maximum charging current to Amps A
i
Limits how fast the car charges, for example to match solar surplus. The value is kept between the lowest and highest current set in the device settings; a charger cannot charge slower than its lowest step. To pause, use Pause charging.
EV charger
Pause charging
i
Pauses with a 0 A limit while the session keeps running; Resume charging continues it. If the charger does not accept 0 A, the card shows an error, unless Pausing may end the session is on in the device settings: then the session is stopped.
EV charger
Adjust charging to Available power in W W available on Phases
i
For solar surplus: give the power the car may use in watts. Homey works out the current, lowers it right away, raises it only after the higher value was asked for some time, pauses below the lowest current and resumes with a little extra current so the charger really continues. Run it every 10 to 60 seconds; the waits are in the device settings. Easier: Charge from solar surplus takes your meter's grid power directly.
EV charger
Adjust charging to Available current per phase in A A available per phase
i
For main fuse protection: give the current per phase the car may use. Decimals are rounded down, so 9.9 A becomes 9 A. Lowering happens right away, raising only after the higher value was asked for some time, and below the lowest current Homey pauses or holds the minimum, as set in the device settings. After a pause Homey resumes with a little extra current and checks that the charger really continues. Easier: Protect the main fuse does the calculation for you.
EV charger
Protect the main fuse with house currents House current L1 in A House current L2 in A House current L3 in A A and fuse Fuse size in A A
i
Give the current per phase your meter measures, including the car; tags of your meter work. Homey takes off the charger's own current per phase, keeps the safety margin from the device settings below the fuse and sets the car to what is left on the busiest phase, rounded down. Lowering is immediate, raising waits, below the lowest current Homey pauses and resumes later. Leave the fuse empty to use the device setting. Safe to run every 10 seconds; negative values are fine. For a second fuse, such as a sub-panel, or a second charger use Protect several fuses.
EV charger
Charge from solar surplus with grid power Grid power in W W, home battery Home battery power in W W and reserve Reserve in W W
i
Give the grid power of your meter; a tag works. By default importing is positive and exporting negative; change Grid power sign in the device settings if your meter reports it the other way. Give the power of your home battery: positive while it charges, negative while it discharges, so the car can use the surplus the battery would otherwise take. Leave empty without a battery. Homey adds the charger's own power and charges with what would otherwise go to the grid or the battery, minus the reserve. Below the lowest current it pauses and resumes once there was enough sun for a while. Leave the reserve empty to use the device setting. Safe to run every 10 seconds.
EV charger
Charge from solar surplus with grid power Grid power in W W, home battery Home battery power in W W and reserve Reserve in W W, protect the fuse with house currents House current L1 in A House current L2 in A House current L3 in A A and fuse Fuse size in A A
i
Solar surplus and main fuse protection in one card: Homey works out both limits and uses the lowest, so the two never fight. Fill in the grid power and the meter's current per phase, including the car; tags work. Give the power of your home battery: positive while it charges, negative while it discharges, so the car can use the surplus the battery would otherwise take. Leave empty without a battery. The support report says which one is limiting. Leave the reserve or fuse empty to use the device settings. Safe to run every 10 seconds. For several fuses or a charger with priority use Protect several fuses; run one fuse or solar card per charger.
EV charger
Protect several fuses: main fuse Main fuse size in A A with house currents House current L1 in A House current L2 in A House current L3 in A A, extra fuse 1 Extra fuse 1 size in A A with Extra fuse 1 current L1 in A Extra fuse 1 current L2 in A Extra fuse 1 current L3 in A A, extra fuse 2 Extra fuse 2 size in A A with Extra fuse 2 current L1 in A Extra fuse 2 current L2 in A Extra fuse 2 current L3 in A A, extra fuse 3 Extra fuse 3 size in A A with Extra fuse 3 current L1 in A Extra fuse 3 current L2 in A Extra fuse 3 current L3 in A A, lower priority Charger with lower priority and Second charger with lower priority
i
For a main fuse with fuses behind it, such as a sub-panel, and for two chargers where this one has priority. Per fuse give the current per phase its meter measures, including this charger; tags work. Leave the size empty to use the device setting, Main fuse size or Extra fuse 1-3 size; an extra fuse without currents is not used. Homey sets the car to what the tightest fuse and phase leaves, rounded down, with the safety margin from the device settings. The current of a charger with lower priority is not counted on the main fuse, so this charger may use it; give that charger Protect the main fuse, so it gets what is left. Use one fuse or solar card per charger. Safe to run every 10 seconds.
EV charger
Ask the charger for a fresh reading now
i
Asks the charger to send its power, current and energy right away, for Flows that need a fresh value. A charger that does not support this gives an error.

Nouveautés

Version 1.1.18 — The solar surplus cards have a new optional field Home battery power (positive while it charges, negative while it discharges), so the surplus your home battery would take goes to the car and the car never drains the battery. New setting Home battery power sign. The history and the diagnostics report show every term, and a new setup check warns when the grid power stays near zero while the car waits.
