Solar Controller
Turn surplus solar power into useful hot water with local monitoring and control.
Make better use of surplus solar energy by connecting the complete Solar Controller system to Homey. Monitor current power, boiler temperature and controller status, combine local control with Homey Flows, and manage multiple Solar Controllers independently while communication stays on your local network.
This Homey app is an extension of the Solar Controller project and does not work on its own. A fully installed Solar Controller is required, with an ESP32 running the Solar Controller firmware and suitable power-control hardware, such as a Kemo M240, connected to an electric boiler or heating element. The actual control logic continues to run independently on the Solar Controller. Installation instructions, firmware, wiring diagrams and information about the required hardware are available through the Solar Controller project page.
