HomeBrein is one brain for the energy in your home. It steers your home battery, takes your EV charger into account and moves smart plugs and appliances to the best moment, based on your own contract, your own sun and your own consumption. What HomeBrein does: - Home battery: plans charging, selling, holding or self-consumption per quarter hour, using dynamic prices, a solar forecast per roof plane and your own consumption. Works with AlphaESS, Anker SOLIX, Sigenergy, Marstek Venus and other battery apps with Homey's standard target power (brands other than AlphaESS: test version). - EV charger: takes the car into account. You choose whether the car may charge from the home battery: never, always or depending on the price. - Energy advisor: the cheapest moment for the washing machine, dryer and dishwasher. - Smart plugs and appliances: start at the right moment, on with solar surplus, on in the cheapest hours or off in the most expensive ones. - Self-learning: consumption per hour, solar yield, battery efficiency and how your battery reports its power. - Safe: phase protection within your fuses, never below your battery's reserve, and when in doubt the battery gets its own control back. - Accounts for Dutch net metering (saldering) until it ends, and your feed-in compensation after that. Start in test mode: HomeBrein runs alongside a virtual shadow battery and shows what it would do, without sending anything. Switch to live when you are happy with the plan.
