FlowPolish makes complex Homey Advanced Flows calm and readable without changing their logic. Choose a horizontal, vertical or snake layout. The snake layout lets the flow alternate down and up through compact continuous columns. Compact spacing is selected by default, while comfortable and spacious spacing remain available. FlowPolish derives the visible height from Homey's formatted card text and connector count, so the tallest card determines the next lane. Direct card sequences remain in logical lanes, and chains whose normal and error outputs share a continuation are automatically stair-stepped. Separate options reduce line-to-line crossings, keep connection lines clear of cards and place independent connected flow groups below each other. Vertical decision ladders retain their logical order. You can also arrange existing notes or add a localized summary note. Notes use one clear yellow style in the schematic preview and legend; their real Homey colours are preserved in the generated flow. A visual preview lets you compare the proposed layout with the current one before anything is created. The three-step settings workflow always leaves your original untouched. FlowPolish creates a separate copy, applies the new layout and leaves that copy disabled. You inspect and test it in Advanced Flow, then decide when to enable it and whether the original can be removed. You can also add one virtual FlowPolish Controller device. Its Flow cards can polish one selected Advanced Flow or a bounded batch of up to 25 source flows from a Flow folder. Layout, spacing, connection and note choices are stored in the card, while the device shows live status and the latest result. Disabled copies remain the default. Updating originals is an advanced option that stays locked until explicitly enabled in the controller settings and has no automatic undo. Highlighted quick settings in the Controller store a default layout, spacing, output mode and optional connection/note improvements. The highlighted quick Flow card then only asks which Advanced Flow to polish. Homey does not allow a backend device button to navigate directly to another app-settings page, so these controls use the standard Controller settings screen. The highlighted Polish this Advanced Flow card needs no Flow selection and applies the Controller quick settings to the enabled Advanced Flow containing the card. Since Homey does not provide the parent Flow ID to an action listener, the card asks for a short recognition name that must be unique across enabled Advanced Flows. FlowPolish stops safely if it cannot identify exactly one flow. Creating copies requires a Homey API key with full Flow access. The key is stored locally on your Homey, reused automatically and can be replaced at any time. Layouts are processed locally by default. Optionally, add your own OpenAI API key and let OpenAI select one locally generated, validated candidate. FlowPolish verifies that key with a minimal real request and shows a localized, actionable message when OpenAI rejects or cannot complete a request; the safe local layout remains available. Only pseudonymous geometry and metrics are sent with store=false; flow names, card settings, device names, values and notes are excluded. OpenAI cannot change cards, connections or coordinates. ChatGPT subscriptions and API billing are separate. Available in English, Dutch and German. The Settings tab separates API-key management from the three-step workflow and lets you customise Minimum, Compact, Comfortable and Spacious spacing. Minimum preserves the current flow structure and only makes small corrections to cards that already form rows or columns. For example, 40 × 24 px means 40 pixels between card columns and 24 pixels between card lanes; card dimensions do not change.
