Control your AlphaESS home battery from Homey, entirely locally over Modbus TCP and without the cloud. Choose what the battery does with one tap: self-consumption (keeping the grid at zero both ways), charge or discharge at a fixed power up to a target level, store only solar surplus, only supply the home, stop, or charge at full power from the grid when prices are negative. Power and target levels are set with sliders, and every mode is also available as a Flow card, including one card that takes the commands of an energy planner such as SlimLaden as they are.
Homey also shows the charge level, battery power, solar and grid power and the energy totals, and the battery and the solar panels appear in Homey Energy as separate devices. The solar panels on the AlphaESS can be switched off and on as well. Every command is sent with a fallback time, so the battery returns to its own automatic mode if Homey stops sending. Modbus TCP must be enabled on the AlphaESS. Questions, tips and the systems it has been tested with are shared in the app's topic on the Homey Community forum. This app is not affiliated with or endorsed by AlphaESS.
