Axle Energy runs a Virtual Power Plant available to UK homeowners that pays battery owners to export power to the grid during periods of high demand. When the grid is under stress, Axle takes control of your battery briefly to export power, then returns full control to you — earning you credits automatically at a fixed rate per kilowatt-hour. Compatible systems include Sigenergy, Fox ESS, GivEnergy, Solax, Solis and SolarEdge, with more being added all the time. This app connects Homey to your Axle VPP account so you can see the state of upcoming and active grid events in real time. Use flow cards to act on that data — charge your home battery ahead of a grid event, notify yourself when one is imminent, or log completions for your own records. Sign up using the Developer website link in the Homey app store and you and the developer each earn £25 — which helps to support the ongoing development of this app.
