Thread Diagnostics

Continuously monitor the health of your Thread mesh and Matter devices, so "why did my device drop at 3 AM" finally has an answer. Thread Diagnostics periodically records snapshots of your Thread network — routers, neighbors, link quality, signal strength, network events — together with your Matter device inventory, and immediately logs whenever a Matter device becomes unavailable, including the reason. Everything is written to structured daily log files you can view, copy or open from the app settings, plus Insights graphs for long-term trends: router count, unavailable devices, average signal strength, network role changes and more. Out of the box the app logs the Thread network topology, Matter node details and device availability. For deep diagnostics (router/neighbor/child tables, radio counters and the OpenThread event history), create an API key with full access in the Homey web app under Settings > API Keys and paste it into the app settings — the app guides you through it. Built for Homey Pro (Early 2023) and newer, which include a Thread border router.
