Turn any public Google Photos album into a live slideshow on your Homey dashboard. Just paste a shared album link and you are set — photos stream straight from Google, so nothing is ever copied, moved, or stored on your Homey, and there is no Google account, API, or key to set up. Like the dashboard clock, the slideshow keeps cycling even when the screen dims or goes idle, which makes it ideal for a wall-mounted tablet.
To get started, open an album in Google Photos, choose Share and then Create link, and paste that link into the widget's settings. You can set how long each photo stays on screen, the order (shuffle, newest, or oldest), whether photos fill or fit the frame, the crossfade, and how often the album is re-scanned for newly added photos, and the widget resizes to suit your dashboard. Link sharing must be enabled on the album, videos are skipped, and because the app reads Google's public album page rather than an official API it may occasionally need an update if Google changes their site.
