Control and monitor your Alfen Pro-line (NG9xx) EV charging station from Homey, with a charging current that stays within what your main connection can safely deliver.
The app talks to the charging station over your local network using Modbus TCP, so nothing goes through the cloud. Every socket of a dual-socket station appears as its own device, with live voltage, current, power and energy, a clear charging status and a target power control that smart-charging apps such as SlimLaden can use. If your station has the phase-switching relay, the app can also switch between one and three phase charging, either fixed or automatically based on the power that is requested.
To help protect your main fuse, the app can read the per-phase power of a Homey Energy Dongle (P1) and limits the charging current to the room that is actually left. If that data is missing or looks wrong, charging falls back to a safe current that you set yourself. This protection is an aid, not a guarantee: you remain responsible for your installation and for setting the limits correctly, and you use the app at your own risk.
Your station needs Modbus switched on and Active Load Balancing in energy management mode, which requires a license from Alfen and the ACE Service Installer. Setup instructions, the meaning of every setting and troubleshooting tips can be found in the Homey Community topic of this app.
This app is made by an independent developer and is not affiliated with Alfen.
