McCallister Guard protects your home through deterrence rather than just alarm. When a sensor detects an intruder, it does not simply sound a siren — it makes the house look occupied: lights in another part of the house start flashing blue and red like police lights, and when the intruder moves toward them they go dark and the show moves on. Ready-made sounds and videos — barking dogs, police sirens, a spoken warning, flashing blue lights and silhouettes — are bundled with the app, so you can play them on your speakers and screens from your own Flows. The goal is to make an intruder turn around at the door, before anything happens.
At night, a quiet Perimeter mode monitors only the doors, windows and sensors you choose, and sends a notification to your phone if someone tries to enter — without waking the household with a siren. A front door with a code lock can be given an entry delay, so you have time to disarm. When you leave home, Away mode takes over: it warns you about doors left open, starts deterrence when a sensor trips, and escalates automatically to a full alarm if the intruder does not retreat — speakers at full volume, strobing lights, and a trigger your Flows can use to start sirens and send alerts. Compatible cameras can capture snapshots as the alarm develops, and a presence simulation keeps the lights cycling to make the house look lived-in. Everything runs locally on your Homey Pro — no subscription, no cloud service required.
