PELS Energy Manager

PELS keeps your home under a chosen power limit and moves EV charging, heating, hot water, or ventilation to the cheapest hours — automatically lowering, pausing, or turning off lower-priority devices when needed. Or set a goal with a deadline, like the car charged by morning, and PELS finds the cheapest way to hit it. It watches whole-home power from Homey Energy, Tibber Pulse, AMS/HAN/P1 meters, or Flow data, and acts before the limit is crossed; when available power returns, it resumes devices in priority order. PELS (Pris- og Effektstyrt Energilagringssystem) can use spot prices from Homey Energy or external Flow prices; in Norway it can also factor in grid tariffs and strømstøtte/Norgespris. Flexible devices run in cheaper hours when there is room, while the power limit still takes priority. Use modes such as Home, Away and Night to give each routine its own comfort targets and priorities, and set a daily budget when you want PELS to pace energy use across the day. One-off goals with a deadline — charging the EV by morning, warming a room before you get home, or heating water before it is needed — are called Smart tasks in the app.

버전 2.23.3 — The Overview now lists every device PELS manages, each saying what it is doing right now and why it is limited or waiting. The list is there from the start: after a restart or on a new install, devices appear immediately and say they are waiting for the first power reading, instead of the page staying empty until the first plan. Device states on the page follow the device live rather than a snapshot that could be many minutes old, and a device lowered to a smaller level is shown as limited at that level rather than as turned off. The limiting behaviour you choose for a device is now the furthest PELS may go, not what always happens: a charger set to turn off is lowered step by step first and only paused when lowering is not enough. A device you switch yourself is taken into account in the next decision instead of being put straight back the way the plan had it. When the whole-home meter goes silent, PELS no longer trusts the last reading indefinitely: after ten minutes without a reading it plans again and limits devices if needed, rather than holding a decision made before the meter went quiet. Turning off temperature control for a device now disables only the temperature adjustments, and its other controls keep working.
