Introducing Local Users for Homey Pro

With Local Users, you can now access the Homey Web App directly on your local network. Whether your internet is down or you prefer local-only control, your smart home remains within reach.

Setting up Local Users

As the Homey owner, you can create Local Users for everyone under Family & Guests in the Homey Web App. Other roles, like Residents or Managers, can manage their own local access.

Once a Local User is set up, simply enter your Homey’s local IP address in your browser, such as http://192.168.x.x. The Homey Web App will load directly from your Homey Pro.

Availability

You can set up Local Users on Homey Pro (Early 2023) and Homey Pro mini, starting from Homey Pro v12.8.0. Try it yourself or visit the Knowledge Base to learn more.
