Homey on your hardware
Homey Self-Hosted Server runs on your own hardware. In practice, if your system can run Linux, it can run Homey Self-Hosted Server.
To help you get started, we provide step-by-step guides for Raspberry Pi, macOS, Windows, Synology, Docker, Unraid, QNAP, TrueNAS, Proxmox, and Linux.
Add wireless connectivity with Homey Bridge
Your Homey Self-Hosted Server connects to LAN, Cloud, and Matter devices without extra hardware. Thread devices are also supported when there’s a Thread Border Router on your local network.
To connect Zigbee, Z-Wave, Bluetooth LE, 433 MHz, and Infrared devices, you can pair Homey Bridge with your Homey Self-Hosted Server. Adding more than one Homey Bridge automatically enables Satellite Mode and extends wireless coverage across your home.
