Turn Sunlight Into Savings With WaterAccu
WaterAccu is designed to be flexible and easy to use. A complete setup includes the Nymo controller, a simple electric boiler without electronics, and a P1 meter providing live energy data to Homey. Together, Nymo and Homey can precisely control your boiler’s heating element for optimal efficiency.
The system easily adapts to different types of homes. In a fully electric setup, you can choose a boiler size that matches your household’s hot water needs. For example, a 120-liter model can store around 8 kWh of energy. WaterAccu also works great in hybrid setups, pairing with an existing gas combi boiler to preheat water and reduce gas use.
Smarter Control With Homey
Integrating Solyx’s WaterAccu with Homey allows for even smarter energy management. Through the official Solyx Energy app, Homey can control the boiler based on a wider range of data — not just solar surplus. Think dynamic electricity prices or seamless integration with your other smart devices, like EV-chargers or batteries. This means your system stays efficient even during the winter months when solar generation is low.
You can create a Flow to heat the boiler when electricity prices are low or negative, regardless of solar output. Homey can also coordinate the WaterAccu with other high-load devices. For example, pause the Nymo when a home battery exports at high power, or balance energy between the WaterAccu and an EV charger to prevent overload.
