Control your AlphaESS battery with Homey
The official AlphaESS app for Homey is now available. Let your home battery work together with your solar panels, EV charger, and the rest of your smart home.
Your battery in Homey
In Homey Energy, you can keep an eye on your AlphaESS battery. You see how full it is, whether it’s charging or discharging, and how much energy it has stored and used.
Your dynamic electricity prices, smart meter, and EV charger are in Homey Energy too. Regardless of brand, everything comes together in one overview.
With the AlphaESS widgets on a Homey Dashboard, you can also see live how energy flows through your home and how self-sufficient you are today.
Automate with Homey Flow
With Homey Flow, you decide when your battery charges and discharges. If your car is plugged in during the cheapest hours, a Flow can keep your battery in reserve for when prices peak. On a sunny afternoon, a Flow can send solar surplus to your car first and then to your battery, or the other way around.
Get started
The AlphaESS app supports all AlphaESS home batteries and works with Homey Cloud, Homey Pro, Homey Pro mini, and Homey Self-Hosted Server.
Install it from the Homey App Store and add your battery in Homey. You’ll sign in with the AlphaESS account your battery is registered to.
