ELTAKO has a long history in the electrical sector, dating back to its invention of the first impulse switch in the 1950s. Since then, the company has built a vast portfolio of DIN-rail and flush-mounted devices, including relays, dimmers, and energy meters.

ELTAKO engineers its hardware for the professional market, prioritizing longevity, safety, and reliability. Electricians wire these components directly into the building. ELTAKO also uses EnOcean energy-harvesting technology, enabling wireless switches that require no batteries or maintenance and complement the wired infrastructure.

Versatile Switching and Dimming Solutions

ELTAKO’s smart home lineup centers on a range of actuators for the fundamentals of home control: switching, dimming, and shading. To accommodate different installation requirements, these devices are available in multiple form factors.

The portfolio includes centralized DIN-rail modules, like the Series 14, that install directly into the electrical distribution board. For localized control, ELTAKO offers compact, flush-mounted modules. The Series 64, for example, sits neatly behind existing wall switches or inside junction boxes. ELTAKO Series 64 modules can also act as Matter bridges, bringing other devices, such as the EnOcean lineup, to Homey via Matter.

Wireless Controls and Sensors

To control this wired infrastructure, ELTAKO offers a range of accessories and wireless transmitters. The ecosystem includes battery-free wireless wall buttons, dimmers, and fan controllers, along with matching cover plates to suit different interior styles.

ELTAKO also offers temperature, brightness, motion, and proximity sensors. Together, these wireless controls and sensors complement the wired actuators, making the system well-suited for both new builds and retrofitting projects — without pulling new cables.

ELTAKO and Homey

With support for the Matter standard, ELTAKO’s smart devices connect to Homey Pro and Homey Pro mini. This lets you control your professionally installed wired lighting, motorized shades, and climate systems directly from the Homey app, alongside devices from hundreds of other brands.

You can also use a battery-free ELTAKO push button to trigger any Homey Flow. For example, press a wall switch by the door to turn off your lights, lower a smart thermostat, and lock the front door.
