Homey Energy Dongle connects to Jackery’s SolarVault 3
The Homey Energy Dongle already gives you real-time insight into your home’s energy use. If you have a Jackery SolarVault 3 plug-in battery, that same data can now help it decide when to charge and discharge.

Charging based on what you actually use
The Homey Energy Dongle reads your P1 smart meter and shares that data with the SolarVault 3 in real time. Instead of running on fixed settings, the battery can see when your solar panels already cover your usage and hold back, or step in when your consumption goes up.
This makes a real difference if you want to get more out of your solar setup. Net metering is being phased out in more regions, and grid congestion is a growing issue. A battery that reacts to your actual usage helps you use more of your own solar power, send less back to the grid, and make better use of dynamic electricity prices.
More energy features on the way
An official Jackery app for Homey is planned for July. Once connected, you can use Flow cards to trigger charging and discharging based on conditions such as time, price, weather, or other devices’ activity.
Getting started
Connect the Homey Energy Dongle to your smart meter, then link it to your SolarVault 3 through the Jackery app. No electrical modifications are needed. If you don’t have a Homey Energy Dongle yet, you can order one through the Homey Store.
