A radiator valve measures the radiator, not the room, and a simple thermostat only switches
fully on and fully off, so the room swings around the temperature you asked for instead of
settling on it. Adaptive Thermostat puts a real proportional regulator between a sensor that
measures the temperature you care about and a heater that has no idea where it is. Pick the
sensor in the room, pick what heats that room, and it takes care of the rest.
It works with any temperature sensor and any heater already paired with your Homey, whatever
app they came from, and it gets better with every optional device you give it: a window
contact, a motion or presence sensor, an outdoor thermometer, a relay that starts your boiler.
It needs Homey Pro, because reading and driving devices that belong to other apps requires a
permission Homey Cloud does not offer.

What’s new
Version 1.1.7 — A room sensor that reports nothing but its temperature, such as a smoke detector, is no longer taken for a dead sensor in a stable room. Homey only timestamps a reading when it changes: after an hour at the same temperature, the room stopped heating even though the sensor was still talking to Homey. As long as Homey keeps seeing the device, an unchanged temperature now stays valid for up to six hours. A valve whose setpoint was changed by hand, or by something other than the app, also no longer stays on it forever: the app now notices the difference and rewrites its own setpoint, at most every five minutes. With Zigbee2MQTT, a valve handed back to its own regulation, when the connection dropped or was removed, could no longer close: the app now gives it back its factory opening and closing limits. If a Sonoff TRVZB keeps heating with a low setpoint since you stopped using Zigbee2MQTT, a factory reset of the valve may be needed.
