The Dreame X50 Ultra features an incredibly powerful 20,000 Pa suction motor designed to remove deep debris from carpets and floor crevices. It utilizes the ProLeap system which allows the robot to lift its body using retractable legs and climb over single-layer obstacles up to 42 millimeters high, or combined two-tiered thresholds up to 60 millimeters. A dual-brush DuoBrush system handles hair collection while minimizing tangles during operation.

This model is equipped with a VersaLift dToF sensor that physically retracts into the body of the vacuum. This adjustment reduces the total height of the robot to 89 millimeters, allowing it to navigate under low furniture that typically obstructs LiDAR-based units. For obstacle avoidance, the X50 Ultra uses an AI RGB camera and 3D structured light to identify over 200 different object types.

If you are looking for a capable yet budget-friendly vacuum and mopping robot, the Roborock Q5 Pro+ should be on your shortlist. It features robust HyperForce suction power of 5500 Pa, making it adept at removing dirt and pet hair from various floor types. Its DuoRoller Brush system ensures efficient debris collection, significantly reducing hair tangles, which is particularly beneficial for households with pets.

Like the S8 MaxV Ultra, the Q5 Pro+ is equipped with Roborock’s trademarked PreciSense® LiDAR Navigation, excelling in precise mapping and smart navigation. This technology allows the robot to create detailed maps of your home, enabling the vacuum to identify the most efficient cleaning routes and seamlessly avoid obstacles. Its ability to handle fine dust that vacuuming alone might miss enhances the dual functionality of vacuuming and mopping.

The Q5 Pro+ comes with a RockDock® Plus station, featuring a 2.5L E12-rated dust bag that can go up to 7 weeks without emptying. This auto-emptying dock significantly reduces the need for frequent manual intervention, making it a convenient choice for busy households. Additionally, the Q5 Pro+ boasts a substantial 5200 mAh battery, providing up to four hours of continuous cleaning, which is sufficient for most large homes.

It’s important to note that the Q5 Pro+ doesn’t have a dust bin sensor. This means it can easily get overfilled without knowing it needs to be discharged. To bypass this drawback, users must create shorter cleaning routines to allow the Q5 Pro+ to empty itself before resuming cleaning.

The Roborock Q5 Pro+ integrates well with Homey Pro, allowing you to monitor the status and battery level, change suction power, and start cleaning routines. You can even make the robot announce its current position, allowing you to find it more easily.

The SwitchBot S20 robot vacuum is an advanced cleaning robot that integrates vacuuming and mopping functionalities with various innovative features. It has a powerful 1000 Pa suction rating, making it highly effective at picking up dust, pet hair, and debris. The S20’s mopping performance is equally impressive, featuring a roller mop that automatically cleans and dries itself at the docking station. Its AI-driven obstacle avoidance system performs quite well, although it can occasionally struggle with smaller or unexpected items. Through its intuitive app, users can set up virtual no-go zones and specify rooms for targeted cleaning.

Maintenance is minimal with the S20, thanks to its self-cleaning mop and auto-emptying dustbin. The device operates hands-free for extended periods, requiring attention only for occasional filter and brush cleanings. The app tracks the lifespan of each element of the S10, prompting you to clean or replace them when the time comes.

The SwitchBot S20's biggest drawback is its size. At 365 x 365 x 115 millimeters, it's quite a bulky robot vacuum. If cleaning under furniture is your goal, you must skip the S10 and perhaps consider its smaller brother, the K11+.

The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum X10 Plus is a budget-friendly robovac that boasts impressive features for its price. It offers vacuuming with 4000 Pa suction power and utilizes Xiaomi’s dual rotating mop pads for efficient wet scrubbing. These mop pads simulate manual pressure for thorough cleaning and adjust across three water volume levels to handle different stains. The auto pad lifting technology raises the mop pads when it detects carpets, preventing wet messes on carpeted areas.

The X10 Plus relies on Xiaomi’s advanced Lidar navigation and the S-Cross AI™ 3D obstacle recognition system to generate precise cleaning maps and effectively navigate obstacles. This ensures comprehensive coverage of your living space and reduces the risk of the robot becoming stuck.

The X10 Plus comes with a fully self-managed docking station. This station charges the robot, empties its dustbin, and handles automatic mop washing and drying. It also rotates the mops quickly, removing stains and debris before drying them.

When integrated with Homey, users can monitor the robot’s status and battery level, start and stop cleaning, switch between cleaning modes, and create error alerts.

Despite a sufficiently large 5200 mAh battery, the charging process at the docking station is relatively slow. Additionally, the 4000 Pa suction power might not be sufficient for homes with thick, bushy carpets.
