Most of the house runs on its own by now — the lights, the thermostat, the blinds. The gas fireplace is the exception, still waiting on its own handset. This app brings yours into Homey, so the fire can start from your phone, from a wall switch, or from a Flow that has the room warm before you get home and settles it down again at bedtime. Homey learns your own handset when you add the fireplace, so it only ever speaks to your unit and never to a neighbour's. It keeps listening afterwards as well, so when someone adjusts the fire by hand Homey notices and stays in step rather than quietly holding a stale idea of what the fireplace is doing.
