Moods is now available for Homey Pro (2016 — 2019)

We recently launched Moods, initially available for Homey Pro (Early 2023) and the Homey service (Free and Premium). Today, we’re excited to share that support for Moods is extended to include Homey Pro (2016 — 2019).
Set the Mood
With Moods, you can capture the current colors of your lights. Alternatively, you can choose from over 80 unique presets, making it easy to set the perfect ambiance. First, you select the lights for your Moods. Then, you start them from the Home tab (under Favorite Moods) or the Devices tab.
Flows & Voice Assistants
For effortless automation, you can start Moods from Flows. For instance, at a particular time, when someone comes home, by pressing a button or based on a sensor. Starting Moods using a Voice Assistant, like Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant, works too. Got your popcorn ready? Start the right Mood by saying, “Hey Google, start Movie Time.”
Availability
Moods is available for the Homey service (Free and Premium), Homey Pro (Early 2023), and as of today, Homey Pro (2016 — 2019). Beginning with the Homey app v8.3, owners of Homey Pro (2016 — 2019) can purchase Moods for a one-time fee of € 10. Make sure to update the app and check that you’ve got the latest firmware.
Why do we ask for a one-time fee for older devices?
We firmly believe in updating what still works great rather than pushing you to new hardware. By letting you add new features to your Homey for a small one-time fee, we can keep creating exciting updates. This way, all Homey users, even those with previous-generation devices, can continue to enjoy their hardware. And of course, Homey Pro (2016 — 2019) will always receive free regular and security updates.
