We’re expanding our collaboration with EcoFlow to better connect smart home automation and energy management, giving you clearer insight and more control over how energy flows through your home.

Understand your energy in real time

With the Homey Energy Dongle, you get real-time insight into your home’s energy use. Plugged into your smart meter’s P1 port, it measures how much energy your home uses, produces, and feeds back to the grid — all visible in Homey Energy.

As part of this expanded collaboration, you can add the Homey Energy Dongle to the EcoFlow app. EcoFlow’s home batteries and energy systems then use the same real-time smart meter data to automatically manage energy in your home.

Energy that adapts automatically

You can let EcoFlow handle energy optimization in its own app. Add the Homey Energy Dongle, and it automatically manages energy storage and usage based on what’s happening.

For example, use more power when solar production is high, keep essential devices running during outages, or adjust usage based on prices, battery levels, and solar output.

At the same time, Homey Flow and Advanced Flow can use the same energy data to automate the rest of your home, such as triggering notifications or reacting to energy events.

More brands to follow

This initiative is another step toward making Homey a central place for both smart home control and energy insight. EcoFlow is the first of several energy partners. Support for additional brands is planned, including Sunpura, Marstek, Jackery, and Anker Solix.
