The app calculates a real-time likelihood score from 0 to 100% based on six environmental factors including sea surface temperature, wind speed, wave height, cloud cover, seasonality, and warm weather streaks. With 17 Dutch coastal presets from Cadzand-Bad to Schiermonnikoog, a dashboard widget with gauge, and smart polling that checks more frequently during evening and night hours, you can trigger smart home actions when conditions look promising or simply receive a notification on your phone. This app is a prediction tool based on environmental conditions, not a guarantee of bioluminescence. Actual sea sparkle occurrence depends on many additional factors including the presence of organisms and local water chemistry. Weather and marine data is provided by Open-Meteo.
