Expanded camera support in Homey
Homey already supports camera streaming from brands like Google Nest, Ring, SwitchBot, Tapo, and Kasa. Thanks to a new partnership with Reolink and continued collaboration with Aqara, that support is expanding further.
Official Reolink integration
We’ve partnered with Reolink to bring an official Reolink app to Homey. It’s currently in testing and will soon be available in the Homey App Store, letting you add Reolink cameras and view live streams directly in Homey.
Support for Matter 1.5
We’re also working with Aqara on support for the Matter 1.5 specification, bringing native camera support to the Matter standard with live streaming, two-way communication, and advanced camera controls. Support for Matter 1.5, including upcoming Aqara cameras, is planned for Homey in Q1 2026.
More video formats
Homey now supports more video formats, including WebRTC, RTSP, RTMP, HLS, and DASH, improving compatibility with a wider range of cameras and setups.
Cameras without native support can still be added as Virtual IP Cameras using a stream URL or IP address, providing a flexible way to bring additional cameras into Homey.

A growing camera ecosystem
With new partnerships, additional streaming formats, and Matter 1.5 support on the horizon, Homey makes it easier to bring all your cameras into your smart home.
