What’s new

Version 1.9.0 — Fixed misleading guidance about the residential voltage type. The old hint said high voltage is "mainly used in apartments"; following that advice can throw the bill off badly. Residential low/high voltage is not decided by your household meter but by the contract the building holds with KEPCO: a comprehensive contract bills each household at the low-voltage rate, and only a single contract uses the high-voltage rate. For 994 kWh in summer that is 289,150 KRW on low voltage versus 235,970 KRW on high voltage - a 53,180 KRW (about 18%) gap. The setting hint and the option names now read "Low Voltage (house / apartment on a comprehensive contract)" and "High Voltage (apartment on a single contract)", and point you at your building management office. Also correcting the 1.8.0 notice: re-adding the device is only needed on a time-of-use tariff (General(A)II / Industrial(A)II). Residential and flat tariffs are unaffected, and re-adding them only discards Insights history and meter baselines. Internally, the basic charge is now read from the merged rate table for each month so future revisions to it cannot be missed (no change to results under the current rates).
